This Lipstick Queen cannot resist a new lipstick launch and Dior has blown me with this one. As soon as I saw the refillable cases I was sold. So let me tell you all as I think this is definitely one for all lipstick fans or those looking for a new lippy for the summer months.

Dior Addict is the shiny lipstick designed as a fashion accessory, with a formula now composed of 90%* ingredients of natural origin that comes in a rechargeable case. It has an intense vinyl effect shine available in many bright and luminous shades, with sensational shine.
The Formula/Wear/Finish
They claim to hydrate the lips for 24 hours and hold for 6 hrs. It uses Jasmine wax, Christian Dior's favourite flower, to help moisturize the lips and provides a fluid and comfortable texture. Plum oil helps to nourish and protect the lips and vegetable oils contribute to the perfect dispersion of pigment. The finish is very shiny, hydrating and very pigmented.
The Shades
There are a whopping 40 trendy and shiny shades, from red to pink, nude to brick, and deep rosewoods, all to suit all personalities and style. Hence you will want more than one!

The Refillable Cases, Limited Edition | €29/ £24 linked here
Let's talk about the cases. Now as much as I have an unhealthy obsession with buying lipstick, I don't really succumb to the 'limited edition cases' from any brand but these beauties could not be any more me so, of course, I purchased them. It was the fact they encompassed by style therefore seeing them more as an accessory than just a makeup item, which is the whole point of them. They are a fashion accessory to showcase and come in a choice of 3 styles ..... only available direct on the Dior website. I chose Pink Cannage and Denim.
Now of course the lipsticks do come in a beautiful black lacquered case when you buy them, Dior isn't that cruel, embossed with the Dior Oblique logo, topped by a silver pearl. Very elegant indeed. All their cases are rechargeable, so just like a real wardrobe, you can change your shade and case depending on your mood. Dior did in fact make them rechargeable to reduce their impact on the environment.

The refills, as shown above, come with a single white plastic cap, so it is ready to pop into your case if you need a replacement or fancy a new shade; and at a lesser cost too. But do note that they don't fit other Dior Lipstick cases, they aren't stupid.

Results/Thoughts
I will be buying more which kind of tells you what I think!
The formula really surprised me as in I was not expecting the pigment to be as amazing as it was. In fact, the brighter shade (#659) stained my lips which shows just how strong the payoff is which adds to the long-wear. With any shiny lipstick, the wear time is obviously going to be much less than a matte or satin but I think they have a great amount of wear time for something so glossy. They glide onto your lips like butter and feel so hydrating without any stickiness or slide. You can definitely tell that these have been formulated with lots of waxes and oils because they feel so conditioning on your lips. I even find myself loving a glossy red; my reds are usually satin or matte, but it's just this formula, it's truly stunning.
They make you feel as amazing as they look. There is something about luxury lipsticks that I think just uplifts your mood and makes you feel special. The packaging is just so elegant and so Dior. The limited-edition cases are beautiful, so well made and I treasure mine so much. Totally worth the buy if like me you treasure your lipsticks, or you want to buy a luxe gift for someone who is into fashion and makeup, obviously not essential, but something rather special. The black cases are just as stunning so I shall be adding them in.
They are of course a luxury lipstick and priced the same as most of the other Dior lipsticks (around £32/ €42) but the refills are much less (£26.50/ €34) which makes them even more appealing.

In short, an absolute winning lipstick. They deliver comfort, shine, hydration, intense pigment, long-wear, elegance and style. This is the summer lippy you need. *here.
