By Terry is a brand that I have been a fan of for many years. You may or may not know, but I was previously a store Manager for Space NK in London some years ago now before moving here to Monaco and a big part of that job involved training with all the brands that Space NK stocked (more about my past career here!). I was the ByTerry Ambassador for my store which meant I went to all the training sessions and then trained the rest of our team in what new launches were coming in. I even had the privilege of going to Terry's house in London and those are memories that shall stay with me for life as I loved every second! My love for the brand developed because the more I learnt, the more I was engrossed in how Terry worked, which is why to this day, I still use the products. 
Terry was actually behind the famous YSL Touche Eclat, as it was in fact she who inspired and developed the product and thankfully for all of us, decided to create her own vision hence By Terry was born!

Nude-Expert is a NEW duo stick base being half foundation, half highlighter designed to create an instantly flawless, radiant, matte complexion. This foundation offers a sheer to medium coverage with the foundation side being 'matte' and the highlighter side being 'glow' combined together to give you a camera ready effect that acts like a real life filter. The formula is enriched with BY TERRY's exclusive technology which combines ultra-corrective properties and light control for that airbrushed finish that each brand aspires to.

It really is easy. Swipe the bullet across your face and blend however you feel best. I personally used a buffing brush or Beauty Blender as I felt this gave me a more flawless finish yet didn't blend the makeup away. The stick does come with a sponge applicator on the other end which is great for on the go use but it really is trial and error and go with what method works best for you. 

I was sent over a few shades that were close to my skin tone and I can actually get away with wearing all three. No.2.5 matches my skin now as being summer and I have been self-tanning so this suits me perfectly but during the Winter months No.2 shall probably match better and No.1 is actually great as a concealer as the peach tone really helps to brighten my skin; I think this shows you just how versatile this shade range is.

To complete my Nude-Expert look I used the full By Terry Expert range, all of which I had tried before except the Click Concealers and Kabuki brush ....so  'in my element' I think is how I felt here! This red lip shade was sent over and oh my, it is so me, right?

• CONCEAL: Stylo-Expert Click Stick Concealer (buy here!) - This makes the job of concealing completely effortless! I have used Touche Veloutee for years so never gravitated away from that one but this concealer feels like velvet on your skin and instantly brightens, camouflages and even highlights. The teardrop applicator helps to make sure you apply it little by little which results in a more flawless finish and the click design is a dream because it keeps it non-messy, hygienic and great for your expensive handbags i.e. no risk of leakage! This actually reminds me a little of the Nars Creamy Matte Concealer (in the pot) but just gives a little more coverage and I have fallen head over heels for it and may just be my new favourite (see swatches). If you have not tried this one, then I highly recommend doing so as it is so underrated! I shall most definitely be repurchasing this one. 

• SET: Hyaluronic Hydra Powder (buy here!) - If you have never used this powder then you really should try it! This is so finely milled that it not only sets make-up but also blurs over imperfections again to add a 'soft focus' to your skin. The hyaluronic spheres within the powder attract an retain moisture from the atmosphere to fill in lines and wrinkles which is almost magical! It feels totally weightless and looks invisible on your skin with no ashy tones - one for all skins. This and the Hourglass Veil Powder are the two that I always recommend to those who can never find powders that suit; I guarantee these will! 

• TOOLS: Tool-Expert Kabuki Brush (buy here!) - I do love a good brush, especially when it is portable! Great for the go but being 'By TERRY' you know the quality is first class and is the perfect companion to the loose Hydra Powder.

• BLUSH: Compact Expert Dual Powder in shade #7 Sun Desire (buy here!) - A stunning hybrid powder that combines two tones to mattify, highlight and set make-up all in one go. On my skin, this shade works perfectly as a blush and warms up my face beautifully. This is most definitely a product to add to your wish list as it has fast become one of my favourites due to the stunning quality and results on the skin. 

• LASHES: Lash-Expert Twist Brush (buy here!) - This has been my favourite mascara ever since I got my hands on it this March when it first launched. All I can say is, please go and read my full post all about it so you can see why it is a must have mascara and my NO1; (read all HERE!!) You can see my lashes below, I mean, it is seriously incredible!!!!

• LIPS: Rouge-Expert Click Stick (buy here!) - I own a couple of these lipsticks as they are incredible! Highly pigmented, rich, creamy and once again the teardrop applicator gives instant shape to your lips and really helps to define your cupids bow, doing both the job of a lip liner and lipstick. They feel balm like on the lip but with the intensity of a matte pigment making them really unique and luxurious and I am so glad that I have a some warmer shades to play with (see swatches). 

 I have paired the look with 'Mystic Red' lip (above) and 'Rose Ease' Pink lip (below) so you can see how versatile this base is to other makeup. So, how did the Nude Expert fair?

Verdict: 
Would I recommend it? Most definitely YES. This is good skin on-the-go.

I am not usually a 'stick foundation' fan as I find they always give a really full coverage and I prefer a light/medium coverage for everyday and this has changed the game and ticked that box with it's buildable coverage making it a total hit for me. It unites a matte base and a radiant base to become the best of both that results in a gorgeous, naturally radiant look. 

The matte side gives you buiidable coverage that is enhanced and lifted by the glow side which just adds a pop of radiance and takes the edge of it being too flat and dry looking. It has a key word that I like, buildable, because this means you can create all types of coverage with one stick. It is totally different to what I imagined it to be. It is not too glowy and not too matte, but a perfect in-between. The formula is super creamy hence why it glides on so effortlessly and doesn't sit in lines/pores. 

It has incredible staying power as it still looked flawless after 8 hours+ yet doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all. I suggest you use a primer that works best for your skin when it comes to this foundation. Don't be shy to use it with a highlighting primer underneath as I found it worked well for my skin using something like the By Terry CC Serum underneath (here) as the glow that the duo stick gives you is very subtle. If you have a dry skin then I would suggest using a hydrating primer underneath and moisturise well so your skin is well prepped but the creamy formula should not be an issue. 

Ultimately this foundation leaves you with a natural glow and flawless coverage being so weightless and effortless. Nude Expert is a great make-up base for on the go with it's no mess, travel friendly size that can go anywhere with you. You could even use the darker shades for warming up your skin and the lighter shades for highlighting. It is very versatile and takes no time at all to achieve flawless looking skin.

In my opinion, By Terry have created another hero product in their line that is surprisingly very affordable being £40 (here) as other best selling By Terry foundations range from £70-£100. I can see myself using this one all year round as it is just so convenient ... and likes skin!
