Facial massagers have become a popular beauty buy of late and even though they have been around for years and used in many a facial treatment, they have become very popular for every day use at home. Rose Quartz and Jade Rollers have both been an increasing skincare trend (review here) because they really do have a positive effect on the skin, but what about massagers designed especially for the eye area? Welcome in the Eyecicle.
The beautiful British Skincare Brand, 001 London have created an anti-ageing beauty device that is seriously impressive. So far it is loved by many a celebrity make-up artist and facialist and was even used by Nichola Joss on Meghan, 'the newly' Duchess of Sussex before the Royal Wedding as part of her big day skincare prep! This clever tool is designed to tighten, brighten and smooth the entire eye area and it's very unique indeed.
I am always attracted to British beauty brands because being British myself it's only natural to want to support them and the brits do do skincare well! I had not tried the brand before so I researched a little into it's background prior to trialling.

001 London; created by aromatherapist and beauty therapist Ada Ooi, her idea was to return skin to a state of natural equilibrium, so her line fuses bio-chemistry and traditional apothecary principles from Asia and beyond. She created a line of skincare that combined western technology with Eastern principles mixed with a dose of London Luxury. Ada is in fact famed for her healing facials!
I was kindly invited to try the Eyecicle beauty device for review as coming from a skincare/facialist background myself, I was super excited to try this out because facial massage is something I love to do on others and on myself as I know first hand the amazing results it can deliver. I was instantly blown away when this insanely luxurious box showed up, housing the stunning device .... as below.

A Temperature Conditioning beauty device designed to be chilled and used around the eyes to improve ageing and damage. It is extremely delicate being made from artisan glass techniques so that the entire contact surface is round and smooth with no seam so that it cannot scratch or irritate the skin. When it is used at a low temperature, blood circulation is enhanced to drain toxins and boost the oxygen levels and nutrients to the eye area. This results in the a skin cell regrowth to reveal a tighter, brighter, smoother appearance. We all know the eyes are the first place to show age so this is a tool that we would all benefit from using.
How you use it; Chill in the fridge (never the freezer!) for at least 30 minutes before you want to use it. Massage around the eyes as per the guide using all parts of the device.

After thinking how amazingly luxurious this was I was then thinking, 'my god don't drop it'. This is very delicate, I mean very delicate so be sure to take good care when handling it because this is ultimately a thin glass filled with liquid. The liquid is what cools the device to give you results.
It is actually quite big and fits into your palm (as below) which is nice as it gives you a lot of control. It does come with a massage guide so if you are new to facial/eye massage, then it shall be of great help. I still do eye techniques that I used to perform on clients but you can't really go wrong to be honest, just use it however you feel best suits you; there are plenty of examples online. Lisa Eldridge is a big fan of this device also and posted a great video here of how she likes to use it.
It is important you use both ends of the massager so you can get into the inner areas of the eye with the long end and use the round end to massage around the forehand and under the eyes. Obviously it's best to do makeup free as part of your skincare routine (as per my pics below!)

" I'm loving the Eyecicle tool. I can definitely see the benefits of using it around the eye area, I’ve also been using it to push creamy radiance masks into skin and that’s working nicely. This is great for when eyes feel puffy first thing in morning.” – Nichola Joss, celebrity facialist & skin expert

I absolutely love the Eyecicle. The glass feels so cooling and soothing on the eye and the motion really relaxes you. It's a god send on a hot day when you want to cool down and the bonus is that it will cool and anti-age you all at the same time. This is not a gimic, it works. My eyes always feel amazing and look a lot more brighter and smoother when I have used it and even makeup sits better around my eyes. You have to be meticulous with it and make sure that you stick to a regime in order to get the best long term results but in the short term this shall definitely help to depuff and lessen the look of dark circles as using this stimulates the blood flow hence your eye area shall instantly look better. I love Nichola's tip about using the Eyecicle to push in creamy masks as it really makes such a difference!
If you are looking for instant eye revival as well as long term anti-aging eye benefits then this is a device you need. Perfect to use as a pre-party skin prep step or before a special day such as 'your wedding' (like Meghan) and once you start to use this and see results, you'll become addicted.
Like all good skincare it isn't cheap, but unlike products this device shall last forever and never run out and it's cheaper and easier than surgery let's face it! (Read on for a sale promo!)
