It looks like summer is finally creeping in for some of us around the globe which means we need to get ready on the beauty front as summer brings great responsibility for us all. The sun demands respect and if you do, it shall do the same in return. It is time to up the ante on SPF, hydration and glow levels.

So as always, I have been trying these products out behind the scenes for a short time to give you a first impression of what these beauty gems are really like. I don't know about you, but whenever a box has a luxury shower gel inside I instantly want to shower and try it so this is what grabbed me first off on opening up these summer essentials ....

1. Tom Daxon Vachetta Shower Gel, 250ml (Full Size £30) (link here!)

A luxurious shower wash containing the same notes as the matching fragrance; Cardamon, Coriander, Nutmeg, Jamsine, Lapsang Souchong, Gaiac wood, Leather and Warm Musks. The formula is free from all nasties like Methylisothiazolinone, Parabens, SLES, ALES, PEG, DEA, TEA, silicones, mineral oil, synthetic colours and phthalates, so very clean ... pun intended!

My first impression was, wow this looks fancy, then, I want to shower. This is so me as I love a brand that is new and less well known yet super luxurious and this shower gel is so that, especially when it smells as good as this one. It is a real mix of smoky, dark, spicy, floral and freshness all rolled into one! It reminds me a little of Aqua Di Parma as it has that real Italian, Portafino, lemon picking in the summer kind of feel about it and also very unisex as my husband loves it too. The formula is very mild yet does foam gently and ultimately leaves my skin feeling and smelling great plus it makes any bathroom look better. A big hit for me and I would love to try the fragrances next.

2. Patchology PoshPeel Pedicure (Full Size £18) (link here!)

The PoshPeel is a two step treatment containing an activating essence and socks. The essence contains a potent blend of AHA's & BHA's; Glycolic, Salicylic and Lactic acids. Poured into the socks they are then worn for 60-90 minutes, all working together to deeply exfoliate and soften the skin by encouraging the skin to peel off.

We have seen this previously from Mintd last year and its one of those products you never mind getting again because our feet always need work. It's the time of year where pedicure bookings are on the up so treating our feet is essential for summer sandal wearing. I loved this product before as I love Patchology and I love anything to do with feet. They are such a weird looking part of our bodies so making them as pretty as possible is always an aim in any beauty prep! These really do work and make all the dead skin on your feet peel off. Just be sure to do this well ahead of any event where your feet shall be out as the peeling shall continue for a few days and you won't want your feet on show, but after that you shall really appreciate the result. Trust me, these guarantee your feet shall be smooth, soft and ready for those sandals.

3. Show Beauty Body Shimmer Oil, 60ml (Full Size £35) (link here!)

Show Beauty is a luxury hair care line that brings the glamour. Founded by Tamara Ecclestone, Show Beauty is very indulgent and is all things timeless, elegant and sophisticated. They have many blow dry bars in the UK which I would love to visit. The Body Shimmer Oil is a nourishing dry oil infused with a blend of Argan and Jojoba oils with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E to leave skin looking smooth and radiant.

The glass, vintage looking bottle is so 'old holywood glamour' which makes me love it instantly. I love that it comes in dropper form because you can then easily mix a few drops into your everyday body lotion or sunscreen to add a little glow. The gold shimmer/sparkle is insanely pretty and not too over the top which is a huge positive. It really emphasises a tan making your skin look 'extra special'. I think you need a little colour to your skin to make this work or it may look a little too warm on very fair skins. It has a Patchouli, White Musk and Madagascan Vanilla scent which is Show Beauty's signature scent and it is just beautiful. The lightweight feel, beautiful scent and delicate glow of this oil make it a summer hit in my book. I am so happy to see Show Beauty feature in this months box and hope we see them again as I would love to try more.

4. Lauren B Nail Growth Serum (Full Size £52) (link here!)

Lauren B believes that nails are the best accessory so the more we can do to make them perfect, the better. This beautiful Nail Growth Serum is a sheer blend of amino acids, antioxidants, Vitamins E & C, Peptides and biotin that all sink in to boost the natural nail strength and growth.

I luckily discovered this nail serum last year from another Mintd Box and I absolutely loved it. It sat on my desk as I made sure I applied it daily as my nails need all the help they can get as having a poor immune system and low Vitamin D issues means my nails are weak so they are always short and fragile. The Serum smells amazing and is so easy to paint on to your nails to let it do its work and I really did feel it helped to nourish my nails as they started to look healthier and grow a little more than they did before. Most of us like to all get our nails done before a holiday so making sure they are in tip top condition is a great idea as no one wants a bad mani/pedi on the beach. Definitely a nail serum to try out if you have failed on other brands, you may just love this one too.

5. Skin Laundry Advanced Protection Moisturiser, 74ml (Full Size £25) (link here!)

A lighweight antioxidant cream that helps to boost hydration with hyaluronic acid and essential skin proteins for intense moisture and strength. Containing Japanese Apricot Extract, French Polynesian Kopara to help restore your skins barrier to keep it looking radiant, soft and healthy.

Designed for all skin types, this is an ideal daily SPF for everyone. I have only ever tried the eye cream from Skin Laundry which was nice but having used it long term, sadly didn't really do too much for me but having used this Facial Moisturiser for a few days now, I absolutely love it. This is a daily moisturiser in itself but I personally tend to apply it over my moisturiser using it as a sunscreen as opposed to a moisturiser so I get as many added skin benefits as possible and the fact that this gives a lovely glow to your skin yet dries down matte, is the main reason why I love it a much as I do. When you first apply the cream, it does have a feint white cast and sunscreen scent about it but once it's on the skin that totally disappears and your left with soft, glowing skin that is highly protected. I tend to go between this and my Spf50 dry touch spray from La Roche Posay depending on the occasion and having had my brows recently tattooed, I have to protect them from fading so this is a great addition to my summer skincare regime. I highly recommend this one if you hate the feeling of product on your skin, especially combination and oiler skins, you will surely love this one!

Mintd Box really do well to source fresh new brands then pick products out that would be useful to so many of us beauty lovers. I owe many of my current favourites to Mintd and one thing is for sure, summer time is one of the best times to be on board!
