HOURGLASS is one of my favourite brands to date because they do everything with such finesse. The image, quality, ease of use, innovation .... I could go on and on but you get the picture. Being a high end brand, oh and cruelty free I may add, you do invest in the product but you soon learn, it is 100% worth it. They really do make some of the most hyped about make-up products out there today that are always sending many of us into a frenzy.
Hourglass have recently extended their very popular Arch Brow Collection with two new additions, the Arch Brow Volumising Fiber Gel and Arch Brow Shaping Gel. These new additions are here to make sure that our brow game is the best it can be.
I was kindly sent over a package containing the original Arch Brow Sculpting Pencils as well as the new Brow Gels, being the brow obsessive that I am to see how I liked them. Brows are one of the most important features on our face hence I wanted to tell you more about these products because having now used them myself, they are all far too impressive not to talk about! If you are reading this thinking, oh another brow gel ... this is by no means just your average brow gel .... ohhhhh no.

The Hourglass Brow line consists of three products that shall help any brows look their best; the Sculpting Pencil, Fiber Gel and Shaping Gel. So let me start with the Sculpting Pencil which has already been launched for some time.

The formula combines a 4-in1; a powder, pencil, wax and brush. The Sculpting Pencil tip is actually triangular to shape and sculpt the brow. There is a brow groomer at the other end of the pencil to brush hairs into place.
Shades;
• Platinum Blonde - lightest, cool blonde/platinum
• Blonde - light to medium neutral blonde
• Warm Blonde - dark blond/strawberry blonde
• Auburn - medium to deep red tones
• Soft Brunette - light to medium cool brown
• Warm Brunette - warm medium brown
• Dark Brunette - deep brown with warm undertones
• Ash - grey/dark brown with cool undertones
• Natural Black - darkest brown/black
This pencil may just be the easiest and fastest way to do brows! I cannot believe just how good this really is. Now let me just tell you, I am a very loyal Anastasia Beverely Hills Brow Wiz user and even though I get so annoyed at the groomer end snapping each and every time I use one (and they don't even respond to my annoyance) I have still stood by them as the quality and my love for the product kept me buying, but now I stand converted. Hourglass in my opinion is of such better quality by a mile and it's revolutionised my brow game. Why didn't I own this sooner?
I found Platinum Blonde to be a perfect match being a tad more ashier and less warm, but I can also wear Blonde which is just a tad warmer. This pencil is incredibly soft although when I first felt it I thought the opposite but as soon as you apply to your brows it glides on with ease to give you the most natural, defined, filled in brows that don't look like you have used a pencil. You really can create any intensity of look with this one pencil. The triangular tips is genius because it really does help sculpt out your brow shape and the groomer end is a professional tool and no cheap tat like other brands I have used. I really can't say enough good things about this brow pencil, apart from if you can, then please do try this one for yourself. It shall change your brows for the better, plus isn't it just so beautiful to look at? A job well done I say.

The Arch Brow Gel is a buildable tinted gel. The formula contains micro-fibers to add volume and the very clever dual-sided brush adds texture, shape and colour without any flaking or smudging for fuller looking brows. The Clear Shaping Gel is completely invisible and has a soft hold formula that dries totally clear to shape and hold the hairs in place.

The innovative dual-sided brush is extremely clever and I have never seen anything done like this for brows before; simple yet very clever. The short and long bristles work to apply the formula in varying intensities so that you are able to achieve a very sculpted look or a very natural look. This is to brows what the latest ByTerry Twist Expert mascara (review here!) is to lashes ..... a genius design mixed with a winning formula.
Hourglass Application Tips!
To hold your brows in place - Use the gel in short upward strokes and brush the hairs in place to create the shape you want. Use the Sculpting Pencil to fill in any gaps.
To add volume and colour - Use the short bristles of the tinted gel brush and brush in the opposite direction of the hair growth to distribute the colour and add texture. Use the longer bristles and then brush brows up and in direction of the hair growth. This adds volume! Use the Sculpting Pencil to then fill in any gaps.

You may just think this is another 'brow gel with fibres' as I did too but I can honestly say that this is one of a kind and the best I have tried to date as it makes your brows instantly thicker! I love Benefit's Gimme Brow but this one is a whole different league! The micro-fiber formula and brush magically plump up the hairs to make your brows look a lot thicker than what they are. I kept looking in the mirror thinking "my brows look really good today" and even my husband commented on how they looked 'bushier', which is a good thing anyhow lol!
I usually opt for more of a dark brown shade for my brows as I like a dark brow but I found the shade Blonde to work really well on my brows with the Blonde Sculpting Pencil (as pictured below). It is time to think again when it comes to brow gels as this one has just raised the bar in that department!

I have been well and truly sold on the Hourglass Brow line but believe me, you can read about it as much as you like but until your try them for yourself, you will not truly understand just how good every product is, then you will be saying ..... "I get it!" It really is a must try if you want great looking brows.

BROW NEWS! As you may already know, I have in the last two weeks had my brows semi-permanently tattooed by someone who in my opinion is a queen of brows and I can't wait to share all about that with you once I am healed hence all pics were taken before hand, but I am documenting the process in full for you all to read about! These products shall be ideal to use once I am fully healed as I shall still need to define, volumise and keep my brow hairs in place regardless, which is what makes this my perfect match.
