Being a total lash addict, I get very excited when rumours of a new mascara take the beauty world by storm and BY TERRY have us all talking about their latest Lash Expert, Twist Brush Double Effect Mascara. BY TERRY is one of my all time favourite brands having used their products now for about 10 years but their mascaras have never been my first choice. They are more renown for their foundations, skin serums, concealers, powders, balm de rose etc but I feel this new launch shall put them on the lash map. BY TERRY have created a mascara that acts as two-mascaras-in-one, leading to big things when it comes to lash enhancement.
BY TERRY kindly set over the mascara for review and after reading and seeing so much about it online, I was chomping at the bit to try it because this is not just your average mascara. We all know a gimmick when we see one and to some this will indeed feel like just that, but there are NO gimmicks here let me assure you, only a genius creation.

With a custom twist effect brush the Lash Expert Twist Brush Mascara is a game changer. This ingenuous brush is the star of the show for me, because with just one clever 'twist' of the cap, it allows you to change up the effect of the wand hence changing your lash look.

The formula ...
BY TERRY nailed it. It's not too dry, not too wet and has a rich, intense pigment that is very black. You can build and build on this formula as much as you like and it still won't look caked on or flake off and your lashes still feel nice and soft. It contains a blend of jojoba, olive and avocado oils, three rich waxes being candlelilla, carnauba and rice bran as well as hydrolysed keratin that helps to nourish and moisturise your lashes and prevents breakage. It doesn't smudge, flake or transfer making this a winning formula for all lashes. There is a light scent to it but when it's on your lashes, you smell nothing. It removes super easily (I use my Bioderma Micellar Water) and doesn't cling on to your lashes like many others can do. This may in fact be one of my favourite mascara formulas to date.

The hype is well and truly real.
It may sound like a bit of a 'faff' but it is not complicated at all. If your thinking "this is way too complicated for me" (as I thought so too to begin with) for what is simply 'putting your mascara on'... trust me, in person this is as simple as. The winning formula and magic wand make your lashes look and feel the best they ever have and to your own taste too.
With most mascaras, I find that you need to use them a good 3-4 times before you decide whether you like them or not but with this one, it really grabs you from the start. I personally like to apply two coats with the wand straight (position 1) then one coat with the wand twisted (position 2) and I find this gives me my perfect lash look that is defined, yet volumised and lifted (as above).
I love lashes (you may have heard) hence I love to try new mascaras but I always go back to my holy grail ones such as Lancome Grandiose, that I know make my lashes look fabulous and this new Lash Expert shall now be a repeat purchase. It's honestly 100% worth the try as I never thought I would love this one as much as I do and you can see my lashes look pretty damn good! You may have seen previously that my lashes have grown wonders (blog post here!) and this mascara really makes the most of them and showcases how much they have grown and thickened up. I have never loved my own lashes as much I do right now.

I also had to mention my love for the BY TERRY Rouge Expert Click Sticks, a click pen lipstick, as I have been using them a lot lately due to the fact that they are amazing! The teardrop applicator gives your lips instant shape and a defined cupids bow and the formula again is super long lasting yet very hydrating and feels like silk on your lips. My two favourite shades so far are #4 Rose Ease and #17 My Red (as above and below). They are as rich as a balm, as precise as a liner and as intense as a matte pigment and if you advent tried them then add them to your wish list as well as the mascara (here!).
