Luxury Lipsticks, one of my many passions in life, so when news hit of another lip launch from the amazing luxe brand Hourglass, it is safe to say I was a little excited. I still am a big fan of the previous Girl Stylo Lipsticks from Hourglass, reviewed here and this is a very different product that shall have you swooning a little if like me you love lipstick.

This is Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Refillable Lipstick, (a mouthful I know) a long wearing, satin finish, refillable lipstick. It features a stylish gold applicator that has been designed to be interchangeable with a large range of 30 refill shades. Very clever, I like it already!
I was kindly sent over a lipstick shade with three refills (four shades in total) for review and they could not be any more perfect. It was like Christmas came early.

I was sent the shade One Day along with refills in the shades No One Knows, I Desire and When I'm With You (as above and swatches below). The whole collection consists of a wide range of nudes, mauves, pinks, berries and reds and the colours I was sent were a great variety of each. The name of each shade is down the side of the bullet making it very clear and easy to see being as they are so slim.
You simply purchase the gold applicator with a refill included (£28/€34) then buy the refills separately (£18/€22) hence costing less once you have your case. As below, you can see how easy these are to interchange - you simply un-click the colour bullet and pop in your desired shade, it really is that easy!

The formula is very creamy so much so that it just glides over the lips to literally soak them in colour. Being ultra slim, the area of the bullet itself is very small so if you have big lips then you will need a few swipes to cover the area, as even my small lips needed some work but being so richly pigmented, one swipe of colour really will do. The long gold applicator is so elegant but it actually helps to give great control to define and apply the colour to the lips without any smudging or mess.
They are really comfortable and very long wearing with none of that dry feeling that long wear liquids lipsticks can give you. The beautiful satin finish keeps your lips feeling hydrated the whole time you have it on. The darker shades do tend to leave a slight stain on the lip when they wear off but nothing that is not easily removed.
Value for money wise, you will use up this lipstick a lot quicker than a standard lipstick as for comparison purposes these are just 0.9 g where the Girl Stylo are 2.4g but being refillable you save money only buying the refill at £18/€22 as opposed to £28/€34 for the Lipstick which is not bad at all, just keep that in mind. The formula really is amazing regardless, even if you just save these for nights out, they are so worth it!

Safe to say that my favourite shade here is I Desire; it is truly stunning and very much my kind of red. But I have to say I honestly love all the shades here as No One Knows is again so my kind of everyday shade. I feel there is most definitely a shade (or three) for everyone.
How was I not going to like these lipsticks, like seriously? The new Confession line is a big THUMPS UP from me as I am all for a posh lipstick.

I have to admit these are the kind of lipsticks that make you feel very fancy when you get it out of your handbag/purse to apply and you get 'looks' ... such a feel good factor lol!
