Subtle Elegance, the perfect way to describe the latest offering from my favourite beauty creator CHANEL. If anyone can get you to part with your money then Chanel is a brand that can. Month after month they have been blowing us all away with their stunning limited edition lines that has us all running out to buy them.
Luca Pica, Chanel's Global Creative Colour Designer is back with another show stopper that holds her signature red once again. In fact it focuses on black, white, gold and red, as Luca revives Chanel's classic colours that defy conventional beauty. She debuted her first collection, Le Rouge Collection No1 a few months back [right here] and that certainly got us all talking as it was such a statement collection yet this second launch from her is a lot more subtle.
The main part of this collection is the exclusive Coco Code, a limited edition blush that interprets the iconic Chanel shades - Black, White, Beige, Gold and Red. The palette invites us all to invent our own code of beauty. I like it.

A multi-tasking mix of Matte and Satin textures in what is a very versatile array of shades consisting of a light shimmery pink, a peachy brown, a coral red and a golden beige. This palette works as a bronzer, highlighter and blusher which can be used all individually or swirled all together for a stunning overall effect on the cheeks. Chanel recommend ....
- Fair skin tones - Use the two lighter shades as a highlighter or apply the caramel beige shade below the cheekbones to contour.
- Deep skin tones - Use the caramel beige shade as a highlighter.
- All skin tones - Sweep the pink-red colour onto the apples of the cheeks.
You can see from the above images, I am wearing this palette with all the shades swirled together as a blush as well as the darkest shade used to contour the whole face and the silver used to highlight. I am also wearing a similar eye shadow quad from a previous collection and La Favorite Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick, my 'favourite' spring Chanel lip!

Coco Code is a semi-matte powder that gives you a beautiful pinky coral blush with a golden shimmer. It is very buildable as the red shade is what gives this most of it's colour. The powder itself is softly pigmented and not one bit chalky. It smells incredible with Chanel's signature rose scent which means each time you open this up, it sends you into a little trance. I absolutely adore this product and go as far as saying that this is one of my favourite blushers to date as it is truly stunning and so unique. A key item from this collection that I 'highly' recommend picking up for spring/summer.
Chanel is great for uniqueness and another thing from this collection that I had to grab is the tinted Black Top Coat ...

A clever limited edition sheer black top coat that transforms any nail colour which means you can create new shades using what you have in your collection already! All you do is apply this topcoat over your nail colour and add more if you want to intensify and take it darker. This allows us to transform our summery nail shades i.e. corals, pinks, pastels into deeper, more moody shades. So pink can become grey, yellow can become taupe, red can become a berry shade and so on! We all know Rouge Noir is Chanel's most popular nail shade and it's a colour that we all gravitate to in the cooler months.
No magic is involved, it simply works though the laws of colour. White makes colours lighter and black makes colours darker and Chanel have taken that to another level.
I really love Chanel's newly formulated nail polishes (review here) and this is such a great product to have in your collection. It also revives your mani/pedi if it needs a pick me up after a week etc then this makes your mani fresh again.

[Selfie Shot!] Now can you see that glow going on above .... love it!
There is obviously much more in this collection (here) but for me these stood out the most and being Limited Edition, it was a must buy! The eyeshadow quads are totally stunning but seeing as I had some very similar I passed on those even though they are incredible so definitely ones to look at.
I highly recommend checking out this collection for yourself if you haven't already. I have my eye on a few lipsticks so I may still add to my collection .. I shall keep you posted!
What do you think about Luca's second Collection?
