Charlotte Tilbury is most definitely the make-up brand of the moment and I for one am a huge fan as I don't think she can actually make a bad product. She has every A-Lister fighting over her as Charlotte's skill and whole perception of makeup is inspiring. I first heard about this new foundation launch whilst being at a counter in London last month. They had a huge sampling campaign prior to the launch which I think catapulted it into the success it has been as being able to try something before its even out makes it even more special. That and actually getting foundation shopping right. I am a big fan of the Light Wonder Foundation in the collection (here) so I had high hopes of liking this one too, although both are very different from each other.

The new Magic Foundation is a flawless, pore less, long lasting full coverage foundation with SPF15. The sampling was a big success in my case, because as you see I went out and bought the full size. The packaging alone, like all of her products is just gorgeous!

Shade 3 is a neutral beige for light skin tones with cool undertones. When you order online you also get three shade samples alongside your chosen shade (I got no's 2,3 & 4) to check that you positively have the best match possible. What a genius idea and again proof that it has been designed my a real make-up artist.

Being honest, I didn't fall in love with the foundation straight away as I found it took some working into the skin as the consistency is quite thick but that is when I actually read up on this and realised that this is not just make-up, it's a high powered skincare product. You realise this once you start to blend into your skin as it takes time to work with it and help it reach its full potential. 

Charlotte has posted some incredible videos online (link!) of her applying this foundation to a few different skin types so you can see just how this product transforms peoples skin  - literally like magic. 

It wasn't until I took some photographs of me wearing this foundation that I noticed just how much of a difference it had made to the way my skin looked. I mean I look totally airbrushed but I can 100% guarantee that this image was just taken in bright natural sunshine with no editing what so ever .... even I thought WOW. That's a pretty impressive product right there!

The way you apply this to your skin is key to getting the best results possible. Make sure that your skin is well prepped before application (moisturised, primed) and apply with a foundation buffing brush, beauty blender or just your fingers, whatever your favourite application method is. I personally prefer to buff this into my skin with a large brush then use my beauty blender to really blend this into my skin. 

The coverage is quite something. However you apply this it is fool proof and for something that covers so well, just feels so incredibly light and when you touch your skin, it still feels like skin. It sets to a velvet matte finish whilst still being luminous and glowing and you don't even need to use a setting powder with this due to the finish. You actually don't even need to use much concealer either as it cancels out all red and blue tones in the skin perfectly. It has great staying power and stays looking perfect the whole time you are wearing it.

If you are not a fan of a full coverage look then this wont be for you and Light Wonder would work better being a much more natural tint. But if you are looking for something a bit special that shall treat your skin and do all the work for you then you should definitely go and get a sample and see the results for yourself.
